But I clearly remember watching this game. I remember the hit on Adderly. One of the harder hits I had seen up to that time. I did forget how few passes Wade threw in the game. The Bears offense was not great and usually just average since then. It is impossible to compare defenses. But that 63 defense was just as good in their time as the 85 defense was in theirs. I don't know how much an affect it had on the team when Gallimore died during training camp in an auto accident. They were pretty bad for the most part for the next 20 years. They did have a good season in 65.
