Todd was an overrated, mistake-prone QB (especially when pressured) whose weaknesses were masked while he was surrounded by a talented team. Yet this was the game where he needed to shine to take his team to the Super Bowl. Instead he fell apart spectacularly and was never the same player again, eventually being traded to the Saints and obscurity. The field conditions didn't help (and didn't help David Woodley either), but you can only blame the mud so much for Todd's futility in this game.
